In the Hermes Spring 2014 Resort Collection, Christophe Lemaire was influenced by Henri Rousseau, a Frenchman that painted jungles even though he never saw them. Many of his works were transformed into prints that covered the garments formulated by Christophe.
The total collection features jumpsuits, blouses, harem pants, trench coats, regular dresses, skirts, trousers, blazers, and bags with many shades of green, cream, purple, and blue colors that give you jungle fever.
To me, the collection gives hints of a modern day Jane, from Tarzan, in human form. If the cartoon would ever come to life, these pieces would be worn by her character!
