Go Hard or Go Home: Rihanna "The Fashion Icon" at the 2014 CFDA Awards

For those of you who do not know, the CFDA awards is a yearly event done by the Counsel of Fashion Designers of America honoring stand out designers and celebrities who have had an impacting year in the fashion industry.

This year, the CFDA chose to honor the beautiful Bajan singer Rihanna as the Fashion Icon of the year and, personally, I would not have had it any other way.

In what was said to be a Josephine Baker inspired piece, Rihanna walks the red carpet at the CFDA awards wearing a body baring gown lightly covered in Swarovski Crystals. Her appearance caused an uproar amongst the civilians who obviously do not know her style and what a fashion icon is.

A fashion icon is someone who goes above and beyond the norm of dressing fashionably. They have their own way of styling garments in ways no one has ever seen it before, they ALWAYS LOOK GOOD no matter where they go and where they are, and they always keep fashion "hopefuls" on their toes and wanting more.
