I Influenced Fashion: Alejandra Hernandez for Iggy - Stylist Extraodinaire

After much consideration, I have decided that the stylist behind Iggy Azalea's fashion sense is the bees knees!

Based on her conquering of a video that used 260 looks inspired from one of the most popular style movies, Alejandra Hernandez collaborated with labels such as Betsey Johnson, Adidas, and Doc Martens to showcase her skills and hard-work in developing and gathering replicas of Clueless's character Cher outfits for Iggy to wear in the video of her new hit single "Fancy."

The looks for the extras and other Clueless characters alongside Iggy were pulled from vintage dealers, Canadian clothing stores, and custom designers.

The look that everybody loves on Cher Horowitz in Clueless is the infamous yellow plaid suit.

For the Fancy video, Hernandez  designed the iconic yellow plaid mini skirt suit from scratch for Iggy to wear while reenacting the "talking on the phone in the hallway" scene.

In the opening of the "Fancy" video, Iggy is dressed in a vintage boxing robe by Bestey Johnson giving her the chic 90s look like Cher had in the movie. Instead of a computer, Iggy uses a modern day iPad to control the Revolving Closet and outfit decider.

For the lunch table scene, Iggy is dressed in an vintage Chanel polo while Charli XCX sports vintage Betsey Johnson; a double shirt style with a blue basic short sleeve tee over a long sleeved polo.  For the other characters in the lunch table scene, Alejandra Hernandez says ,"The guy on the left is wearing a vintage jersey and the guy to the right is wearing vintage Tommy Hilfiger. All of the men’s vintage was pulled from my friend’s really cool vintage store in Canada."

For gym class, Cher always kept it cute with her athletic wear in the 90s. To get the same look for Iggy and her extras, Hernandez used Adidas and Converse brands for footwear and took pointers from the original movie by adding stars to an outfit which was copied from an outfit Amber's character (Cher's rival) wore.
The designed apparel is from H&M's recent collabo designer, Alexander Wang, and another supplier called Revolve, as shown on bags and boxes seen at the beginning of the video.

Do you remember Cher's red "party in the valley" dress and her funky hair do?! I do and to get the look for Iggy's video, Hernandez definitely had to go with a Betsey Johnson collab to get the same look as Cher's  in the movie.

The dress was styled with a black furry jacket similar to the one Cher wore making the total look complete. Charli was styled with Vivienne Westwood boots and a custom-made vintage outfit.

The Cher's crush scene included Iggy wearing  a Roberto Cavalli 2014 piece and Vivienne Westwood 2014 bottoms. The character Christian was played by a member of Iggy's team who was added at the last minute, which was perfect because he looks exactly like Christian!

In addition to Iggy and her crews outfits, Alejandra had to style the extras equaling out to 260 total looks. Some snapshots are below of what she came up with. Take a look!
