The Style Scope: Fall 2016 Women's Trends

While everyone is currently getting their "All Summer '16" glow up on, I am currently shopping for fall clothes and imagining how cute I will look in them.

With the Fall trends ranging from puffy outerwear to bright colors in the Fall, we have a bevy of Fall looks and styles to choose from.

Puffers and Evening Wear

Gabriela Hearst, Marc Jacob, Stella McCartney, Sacai

This trend is like mixing class with casual and comfort with poise. If it is raining out and you have to go to a formal event you have the right to stay warm in a puffy jacket.

Tinsel

Adam Selman, Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, Marco de Vincenzo

Shine bright like a diamond and rock details that resemble a static shock! I love this look, it is like a shiny version of a mink fur.

 Embellished Guitar Straps (Handbags)

Ever wanted to walk around like band members with instruments on their backs? Well, now you can just without the instrument.

 Capelets
A Detacher, Brandon Maxwell, Christian Dior, Burberry

When you're looking for something to just throw over your shoulders resort to a capelet and not a full blown coat.

The Statement Choker

Lanvin, Leowe, Balmain

Back like they never left, chokers come back from the 90s. In the Fall season, they are coming back bold as ever with fur, chain, fabric, and metallic details with added on width!

Pinstripe Suiting
Max Mara, Trussardi, Calvin Klein, Tibi

Office wear has to be businesslike but it does not have to be boring with designers sprucing up the normal business wear look.

David Bowie Boots
Margiela, Balenciaga, Vivienne Westwood

The first time I saw this boot was from my favorite shoe company Jeffrey Campbell before I even knew it was a trend and yes I love it!

Extra Long Sleeves
Fenty, Jacquemus, Hood by Air, Vetements

Codename Kids is the cartoon this reminds me of and looks like something I would wear because I love an extravagant look! I need Fenty and Jacqemus in my closet!

Hoodies

Vetements, Each x Other, Lacoste, Alexander Wang

Now you all know there is no Fall without hoodies in it. You need a couple of these in your closet.

80s Power One Shoulder

Isabel Marant, Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Moschino

"Honey, honey, I can see the....," oops sorry, got off track. That Beyoncè!

This 80s power one shoulder trend screams special occasions, birthday celebrations, and that old school homecoming dance. I could rock this trend toward Christmas party and even on New Years.

Patent Leather Trench Coats

Proenza Schouler, Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini

Because there's cold wind.

The Navy Overcoat
Prada, John Guilliano, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach

We love our troops.

Velvet

Alberta Ferreti, Monse, Rochas, H&M

Velvet is always a must in the Fall and this time we get more colors.

School Girl Jumpers
Tomas Maier, Each x Other, Trademark, Jason Wu, Suno

Because everyone is currently adulting.

One Arm Tops
Aquilano Rimondi, Herve Leger, Rodarte, Chalayan

Who needs two?

Gray Plaid
Creatures of Comfort, Jason Wu, Arthur Arbessor, Sophie Theallet

Not the boring kind!

New Awesome Ways To Hold Your Handbag

Prada, Celine, Proenza Schouler, Celine

If you're anything like me you have a ton of things in your purse and need more bag holding options other than your two shoulders and wrists that become tired after 5 minutes. I'll definitely be taking these options into consideration. Could a handbag around my neck be called a "baglace" ?

Cross Body Fur Stoles

MSGM, Katie Ermilio, Monse, Tome

When your scarf only covers your neck and lets the wind attack your chest.

Gloves

Delpozo, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Rodarte

Hand decor.

Statement Furs
Salvatore Ferragamo, Derek Lam, Fendi, Oscar de la Renta

As intimidating as the actual animal.

Pink and Yellow
Sies Maijan, Brock Collection, Creatures of Comfort, Delpozo, Ulla Johnson

Fall can be bright too!
