Fashion Fact of the Day: Charles Jourdan on Shoes

Did you know that shoe designer Charles Jourdan was the first to advertise in fashion magazines?

I guess he started up an entire epidemic as we can see today. 

His ads were legendary, as if being the first wasn't enough, and he always gave a mystery in the advertisements by "placing the shoe in surreal scenes making them components of a larger story."
